Abstract Submission Guidelines

  • Abstracts should be submitted electronically by 14 February, 2011
  • Abstracts cannot be submitted by fax, hard copy or email.
  • Acknowledgement of receipt of your submission will be sent to the stated e-mail address under section “Corresponding details”. If you do not receive an email within 24 hours, your submission was not completed and needs to be re-submitted.
  • The corresponding author will receive all correspondence concerning the abstract and is responsible for informing the other authors of the status of the abstract.
  • The presenter of the abstract has to be registered for the meeting.
  • One of the following topics that best describes the abstract should be indicated upon submission:
1. Contrast enhanced ultrasound11. Carotid surgery / Angioplasty
2. Atherosclerotic plaque, IMT12. Intraoperative ultrasound
3. Ultrasound in the follow up of stent placement13. Ultrasonography in intensive care
4. PFO diagnostics and clinical impact14. Neurodegenerative disease
5. Diagnostics in acute stroke management15. Ultrasonography in dementia
6. Therapies in acute stroke, sonothrombolysis16. Venous system
7. Functional TCD, vasomotor reactivity17. Peripheral nerves, muscles
8. Acoustic targeted drug delivery to the brain18. Novel technologies
9. Emboli detection19. News from the industry
10. Pitfalls in neurosonography, Case reports and my “worst case”20. Multicenter studies, registries and call for collaborations
  • Abstracts must be written in English.
  • Maximum 2000 characters (including spaces and excluding title and contact information on authors).
  • Structured abstracts are mandatory. The abstracts should state clearly the Background/Aims, Methods, Results and Conclusions of the study.
  • The title has to be submitted in capital letters, abbreviations should not be used.
  • It is the author’s responsibility to submit a correct abstract; any errors in spelling, grammar, or scientific fact will be reproduced as typed by the author, if accepted.
